The federal government tore down or relocated the buildings that once made up the Amache-Granada Relocation Center, which at its peak housed 7,318 people. The site was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2006. Restoration and preservation efforts, along with archaeological research, have been ongoing since 2007.

In the early 2000s, an interpretation plan of the site was created. This plan has guided efforts to research and preserve Amache. This is a barrack building exterior after completed restoration work

The Silk-Screen Shop

The Granada Relocation Center at Amache became a National Historic Landmark on February 10th, 2006.

A plinth dedicated to the 31 Japanese Americans who volunteered from Amache and gave their lives in World War II and to the 120 Amache internees who died during the relocation period from August 27th, 1942 to October 15th, 1945.
