Still in existence today, tapirs no longer live north of Mexico, their range is restricted to South and Central America.

Still alive today, the pronghorn antelope can be found on the northern plains of Arizona.

This now extinct canine was one of the greatest predators to mega fauna during the Late Plistocene Era.

This late Pliestocene species of horse is extinct now. Modern horses were reintroduced to Arizona by the Spanish in the 1500s.

Well camouflaged, even in the diorama, jaguars still roam northern Mexico and southern Arizona, but remain elusive.

Mule deer, like many other animals hunted by the first inhabitants of southern Arizona, are the same as those living in the region today.
