Mulberry Bend Park. New York

Description

This postcard shows Mulberry Bend Park, named after a curve Mulberry Street, which was part of the notorious Five Points slum. Mulberry Bend was demolished in 1897 and the park took its place. Mulberry Bend Park was renamed Columbus Park in 1911.
