See, think, and wonder about how people voted in the past. There were a lot of obstacles in the way for women in their attempt to vote, one was transportation.
Getting to the polls.
Do you think many women owned cars or were allowed to drive? Was it usual for a woman to travel to another town on her own?
It took a lot of organizing not just to win the vote, but to get to the protest!
At the polls! This is an 1893 polling place showing women campaigning for the vote. This would result in equal suffrage being approved.
