Frogs in 3-D
Making a Claim About your Frog
Frogs are a remarkably diverse group of animals in terms of morphology, behavior, and development. There are over 7,000 species identified, including toads, which are a subset of frogs. Frogs range in size from less than an inch to more than a foot in length, can be almost any color, and can live in all kinds of environments, including arid ones.
As you were sketching you may have guessed that your frog is adapted to live in a certain type of environment. What evidence did you notice?
Make a claim, share the supporting evidence you observed while sketching, and explain your reasoning regarding the type of environment your frog lives in.
If you need help, consult the CER graphic organizer or the Frog morphology (body shape) guide below.
